Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Sillage, referred to below as “the service.” In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Sillage. By creating an account and selecting the required agreement checkbox, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

You must have reached the age required to create an account and enter into this agreement where you live. We do not require your birthdate, but you are responsible for meeting this requirement.

You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and notify us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

You may permanently delete your account through account settings. Deletion cannot be reversed, although you may create a new account later.

The service helps you discover cinema screenings, save films to your watchlist, record recently seen films, save screening plans, and receive optional notifications. You may also connect a public Letterboxd profile to bring compatible watchlist and viewing information into your account.

Features, supported cities, cinemas, and information sources may change as the service develops. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service when reasonably necessary.

Showtimes, prices, availability, accessibility information, and venue details come from external sources and may occasionally be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Confirm important details with the cinema before travelling or purchasing a ticket.

We do not sell tickets. Purchases, refunds, cancellations, and venue policies are handled by the cinema or ticket provider.

If you provide a public Letterboxd username, you confirm that you are authorized to associate it with your account.

The service is independent of Letterboxd, cinemas, ticket providers, and other linked services and is not endorsed by them unless expressly stated. External services have their own terms and privacy practices.

You may not access another person's account, interfere with the service's operation or security, introduce malicious code, bypass access controls, unlawfully collect information, impersonate another person, or use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable burden on the service.

The service's original software, design, branding, and editorial content belong to us or our licensors.

Film artwork, trailers, cinema materials, and third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners. Copyright, trademark, or listing concerns may be sent to [email protected].

The service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, provider outages, security issues, or circumstances outside our control.

We may restrict or terminate an account that seriously or repeatedly violates these Terms, threatens the service or its users, involves fraud, or must be restricted by law. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or complete accuracy of information obtained from cinemas and other external sources.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by inaccurate external listings, third-party services, or service interruptions. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

We will provide notice of material changes to these Terms where appropriate. We may ask you to accept an updated version before continuing to use your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable Canadian law, without removing mandatory rights available to you where you live.
